Halina Edwards (b. Jamaica) is a Jamaican-British contemporary sculptor and workshop facilitator whose practice centres on material culture. With a background in fashion and textiles and menswear design, Edwards is informed by Afro-Atlantic traditions. She places, ties, binds, and layers materials into hanging and freestanding sculptures, using materials such as shells, bamboo, leather, and nylon—investigating how they function as visual tools while referencing their spiritual, political, and commercial histories.
Artistic commissions include Uniqlo (2024); Crafts Council (2023), and Create London (2021). Workshop facilitation includes Milan Design Week (2025); Uniqlo, UK (2024); Museum of the Home, UK (2023); South London Gallery (2022); Dortmunder-U, Germany (2022) and Flock Together, UK (2021/2022).
